My Wonderful HSKS Kit!

I know I am really late at posting this but, time seems to be flying by me a a very fast rate.

So I got my box from Lady Furela the Forgetful, aka Sara....what a wonderful kit!! The homemade item was drool worthy! I haven't quite decided where to put it, but I will soon. Okay now for the pics!!

Halloween Memories

Happy day after Halloween! Lol! Our homework for this week was to either post a pic or memory of past Halloweens. I don't have a picture of my favorite Halloween so I will do my best to ecribe it to you all. I was seven and my brother, Jack, was five. I had decided that we should dress up together and I wanted to do something really cool....remember I was only seven. After much consideration we decided to be a pair of dice. Mom picked up boxes that would fit around us and then we painted the boxes whits and added the dots on each side. Holes for arms and head and voila, a pair of dice:) We lived in Colorado Springs, so it was hiy or miss on what the weather would be. That year it was icy, snowy, and very cold. Mom drove us door to door trick or treating fearing we might catch a cold. We also went to the school carnival and get an honorable mention in the costume contest.

Am am going to show you a pic of my dog, Pippin. As you can see he wanted to be a cow on Halloween, but his costume was a bit too small:)

Round 2 Duel

I am very happy to report that I have finished my hat for round two and have sent it by owl to the lovely Arriana Stylos. I didn't like the pattern at first and after many many hours I finished!! And I love the way it turned out!! I can't wait to see what Arriana made me! The bobbles....hmmmm.....I have never done bobbles before this hat so I was a little excited to try something new. Well I have come to the conclusion that bobbles and I don't get along! I could not get them to look right no matter what I did! So instead of have funny looking lumps I just took them out. But I think it looks great that way!

I sure hope the next round is easier because I am not sure I can take on anything a lot harder!!

Homework Again

In chapter 10 Harry gets to see Voldemort growing up. The importance of this chapter is for Harry to find out where Voldemort came from. Voldemorts mother amd father were mean poeple, she kept his father under a spel with a love poyion. Once this potion was gone it pretty much destroyed his family.
The readers are introduced to two new horcruxes. In this chapter Harry learns and gets hints as to what Voldemort would be using as a horcrux.

Homework....

I promise I will be working on my homework tonight and tomorrow! I have not forgoten about it I have been very busy readying myself for the second round of dueling and getting all my goodies ready for my partner. Not to mention the detention Professor Snape gave me.....

Picture Day!!

This picture was taken last summer. My mum came to visit me and we went swimming with dolphins!! The place we went is called Discovery Cove in Orlando, it is part of Seaworld. What an amazing place!! The dolphin I am with in this pic is Dot. She was just over a year old and they chose our group start with her socliazation. I was the first person to kiss her! Man what a day!

My First Sock!!

Yay! I just finished my first sock! For those who don't know I have been wanting to try socks for a LONG time!! And well I was terrified of double pointed needles! All my experiences with them include tons of dropped stitches, anyways, I got a great pattern from Laura, alura on Rav, and my last swap partner Chris, aurea on rav. And thanks to them I dived into the wonderful world of socks! I am not 100% happy with my sock, but I just need to find a different pattern to fit what I have in my brain! So ya I'm hooked on socks!!!!

RIP addi turbo

Disaster struck as I was working away on my fiddlehead lace scarf. So here I was flying through the lace at an amazing pace....you don't go very fast using lace weight yarn and size 3 needles....anyway I sent my project down next to my recliner to make a cup of tea. I get back and pick up my project and to my horror one of my needles was bent in half. Tears start welling up in my eyes as I set my project down....I sit in silence wondering why me! And I should add that his was my very first pair of addi turbos which I have decided I love! So I am off to the yarn store in search of a replacement set of needles....
