Debbie's Hat

By: Molly Seltenright

Materials:

Approximately 160 yards worsted weight yarn (I used Patons Classic Wool for the pink hat and Lamb's Pride Worsted for the purple)

H & J Hook

Tapestry needle to weave in ends

Size: Unisex (fits men and women, can easily be made longer by repeating round 11 until it is the desired length)

Gauge: With J hook 3 dc =1 inch and 2 rows =

1 inch

Pattern Notes: Pattern is worked in the round joining the rounds as you crochet. To join rounds almost seamlessly, slip stitch around the first front post double crochet (fpdc) then chain two. Work the first stitch of pattern (fpdc) into the same stitch, the chain 2 will sit neatly behind your work

.

Inspiration to write this pattern is from the wonderful pattern Divine Hat by Sarah Arnold

OWL

Ihave completed my OWL for the Harry Potter House Cup on Ravelry. It took me almost three months to make, though I did have several projects in there in between knitting on it. It took am amazing amount of yarn. Before it was felted the bag was over 3 feet long! After felting and a week of drying the bag was lined and bag feet and handles were added. All in all I am pretty happy with how it came out!

ARRRRG

Look it's Captain Jack Sparrow. Isn't he awesome! He took about three weeks for me to make. The last week was just sewing and adding all the little details. I added a ruffle collar and sleeves because I wasn't real happy with how the shirt came out but in the end he looks great!

Poor neglected blog!

A new term has begun at Hogwarts and our very first assignment was to knit or crochet our very own mascot. I decided that mine had to be a baby dragon! So here he is playing around the trees and plants. His name Is Jolly like the Jolly Green Dragon....HEHEHE

The amazing Prendolyn the Weird!!

Ya this is an aweful picture of me, but I wanted to show the wonderful hat I received, it will be traveling to Colorado with me this week! :)
Thanks Zenzo!
This is the most amazing bag I have ever gotten or bought myself!! Pren is so AMAZING!!!!!
MMMM Knit Picks yarn and Twilight yummies!
Everything was wrapped in broen paper with various stamps from all over! Very creative!
Awesome stitch markers and a pin...Sorry the stitch maker didn't come though on the pic :(
All my loot!! The glass jar of buttons came from Zenzo, Pren's house elf, he has been collectiong several clippings and buttons off my fellow Slytherins just for me...in fact have gave it to Pren saying "nicked for dear Miss Crookshanks crafty craftings" SO cute!!! (Sorry my fellow Slytherins if you are missing some buttons or hair ribbons....

The bag, stitch makers and pin came from Pren's family owned shop called Wilcox Wizard Wears. The bag is from a line called Not Housey Hogwarts House Wear...meaning that I can carry all my knitting gear in a great green and silver bag without Slytherin stamped across it!

This has been the most creative and awesome swap I have ever been included in! Thank you so much Pren for all the time you took to put my stuff together!! You rock!

PS....Sorry your owl Archimedes has taken so long to return he was quite happy here resting for a few days. Plus I just found the best owl treats!
